We can be almost certain of being wrong about the future, if we are wrong about the past.
G.K. Chesterton
The 8-month Augustine College experience is one interlocking course divided into two halves: ancient and modern. Each of the areas of study (Philosophy, Science, Literature, Art, History, Scriptures) examines a unique facet of the Western tradition while maintaining continuity with the other courses. Our Alumni stress the value of this approach more than any other element of their experience for the development of their intellectual life. It also enables faculty to integrate the ideas, readings, and questions emerging over the course of a semester across the whole College in real time, like a persistent conversation that matures as students discover the riches of our Christian heritage.
